Where it all began.
It all started with film. Back in our home country of North Macedonia, my father already ran his own business – with his own studio and lab. When he came to Düsseldorf, he brought this craft with him.
In 1990 he opened his first lab here. We developed films ourselves, and he mixed the chemistry for it by hand – that is how seriously he took his craft. It laid the foundation for everything Fotowest stands for today.

What is photographed with us is also developed and printed with us – in-house. That is why you often hold your pictures in your hands within minutes.
The technology has changed over the years: where chemistry was once involved, we now work with modern processes – in a quality you can see and feel. The standard has stayed the same: care for every single picture.
